The new Sheffield bar to be managed by ex-Arctic Monkey Andy Nicholson is to be opened later this month with a special club night.

Nicholson owns and manages the bar - to be named as The Bowery - on Devonshire Street alongside Threads club night owner James O'Hara and Michael Dean, manager of DQ.

On Saturday September 20th, Nicolson's former band mate Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders will join a line up also consisting of Toddla T and the three managers to herald in the new club's opening.

The 200 capacity bar will then host live acoustic sessions, quiz nights and exclusive DJ sets from some of the Steel City's finest mix masters, with occasional national and international guests dropping in for unannounced gigs.

Nicholson is currently part of indie superband Mongrel, alongside Helders, Reverend and the Makers' Jon McClure and Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18757240-ADNFCR
