Since launching last month, Edinburgh's Castle Clvb has already diversified the city's nocturnal landscape with appearances by Jamie XX, Disclosure and Dusky to name but a few.

The three room city centre club, previously known as Berlin, has been refitted and relaunched thanks to the joint efforts of nightclub designer Grum Anderson and the 22 year old promotions whizz behind the successful We Own night.

With a new Funktion One soundsystem, sensory tingling LED light panel and low ceilings, the club is a sophisticated, contemporary space with a focus on underground bookings that aim to edify and uplift the Edinburgh  scene.

As well as midweek student, new music nights, alternate house and techno parties take place each and every Friday and Saturday - with plenty of exclusive shows and label showcases in between.

Coming up this month are Apollonia men Dyed and Dan Ghenacia on the 19th, disco don Tensnake on the 26th and techno king Hector on the 27th.

November, meanwhile, will see sets by house legend Chez Damier, bumpy boys Bicep, Miguel Puente, mysterious duo Tiger & Woods and Crosstown’s latest star act Amirali.

Plugging a gap in the Edinburgh electronic landscape, Castle Clvb is building its own scene from the ground up, and already is making waves.
