King of the Ronald's launched in January 2014 after founder Micky Worthless, whom was a prominent figure head within the current leading UK poetry slam group/Rap battle league Don't Flop had a disagreement with the founder of the company Eurgh and was banned indefinitely from ever battling for them again.

With its first event "Welcome To Hell" in Croydon South London, featuring well known UK battle rappers such as Pamflit, Big J, Pedro and more KOTR quickly became recognised for it's Punk Rock style, relaxed vibe and all round less serious approach to the scene even going as far as to add animated edits to there uploads including Beavis and Butt Head and Grand Theft Auto themed battles.

Since it's launch KOTR has put on events spanning the length of the country including Towns such as Banbury, Manchester, Blackburn, Hull and of course it's home Town London, but on the 21st of November 2015 KOTR will be making it's first trip to the West (Taunton, Somerset to be exact) and if you know your battle rap then you'll know this line up is worth travelling for even if you aren't residing in the land of Cider and Pasties.

Before leaving the game to travel the world Sigourney Phizzle was one of the only female MC's in a prominently male scene and she was one the girls could really get behind. With her feisty style her last battle before disappearing released on the 13th of September 2011 versus UK veteran Pamflit racked up a total of 263,611 views on YouTube. Now she is back to Face KOTR regular Bombshell to prove who is the real Queen of the Ronald's. Oh but wait.. That's not the only come back. Home Town hero Mista Switch is back after a five year break from battling, with the intention of laying the smack down on the Leeds Festival 1Xtra battle rap tournament champion Bowski. With other well known MC's such as Stowaway, Soljitsu and Seano Mac it's a card stacked with talent even including some fresh hopeful first timers.

The events of KOTR are always spoken about as some of the best the game has ever had to offer due to the atmosphere, and things you just "had to be there to witness" such as a guy getting his shirt ripped mid battle (No violence has ever happened at KOTR but it's funny when it gets heated as it is a battle after all), a dude eating a heart mid battle and a KOTR regular Mac Sherry has allegedly cried, choked beyond belief and had a panic attack mid battle all on separate occasions. Incidents like these and the bluntness in the KOTR staff members responses to them are comedy gold in most instances and whether you love or hate them it surely keeps viewers on the edges of there seats wondering what will happen next in this Ronald saga.

Come to the Winchester Arms in Taunton from 12pm on the 21st of November and witness the salvation of UK Battle Rap with your very own eye balls, have a drink and you might even bump into that international sex symbol battle rapper guy named Hulk he's a proper geezer...

Peace.
