It's been a year since the Mind-Funk idea was conceived by Colchester based DJ & producer Andy Beckett, otherwise known as A:B:S, himself a long standing DJ in the breaks scene. Hugely influenced by the Lot 49 Fracture & Vibrate parties he wanted to put on an event showcasing the best in techno, breaks & electro house featuring some of the big players in the Tech-Funk scene alongside up and coming talent.

Throughout the last year they have seen acts such as Dopamine, Meat Katie, Rektchordz, Lee Coombs, Caninesounds and Vandal all bring their brand of hard hitting beats to the intimate basement nightclub Tribal Underground in the heart of Essex.

To celebrate a year in the game they are throwing a huge party using the entire venue headed up by the legendary Lot 49 boss Meat Katie, the master of bass driven warehouse music Elite Force, Bristol based producers Kosheen & dubspeeka, Co-owners of Death Proof Recordings The Omega Men & breakbeat bad boys Ways & Means. All supported by a pick of the finest local talent. It's a line up that you don't get to see very often in the UK and defintely not in such an up close and personal venue.
