Gomez and the Young Knives have been added to the bill for this year's Hydro Connect festival.

In a statement on the festival's official website announcing "new acts and magical on-site activities", organisers revealed the addition of the two groups to the line up, as well as a host of other acts.

Among the performers preparing to strut their stuff on stage at Hydro Connect are Black Lips, Joan as Police Woman, Dave Clarke Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks and Passenger.

The organisers said: "We're very excited to announce the addition of Gomez [and] the Young Knives...to the festival line up.

"The fantastic Gomez were last seen recording a new single last year entitled Moon And Sun and we're delighted to have them play the Guitars & Other Machines Stage. Meanwhile up and coming festival favourites the Young Knives will add flavours of indie punk rock to the festival's musical melting pot, shaking up the waters of Loch Fyne in the process."

Other acts confirmed for Hydro Connect include Bloc Party, Manic Street Preachers, Elbow, Duffy and the Breeders.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18622101-ADNFCR
