Freak n Chic @ Area 51 with Dan Ghenacia

After an amazing opening year that has seen the Manchester club make a name for itself as one of the most unique and exciting new venues in the North, Area 51 are powering through into 2009 with a whole new mindset.

This year will see the club branch out to become altogether more diverse, with nights lined up to cross boundaries in every genre. With future bookings including a selection of underground musics finest, such as M.A.N.D.Y, Jesse Rose and Steve Lawler, alongside Freak and Chich founder Dan Ghenacia, as well as a host of artists covering the entire spectrum of the dance scene. This will be the only place in Manchester to hear forward thinking music that not only provides the back drop to a blinding night out, but educates and diversifies your musical palette. A new beginning for the venue that holds a true passion for quality clubbing and leaves all others firmly in their wake

Now King of the Paris techno scene, Dan enjoyed an exciting first few years as resident and creator of a notorious and increasingly famous afterparty that could have seen him reach global status all by itself.
But with a passion for a new direction and itchy feet, he left Paris and his party behind to travel Europe via its most famous clubs such as The End and Fabric in London, Tenax in Italy, and Space and DC10 in Ibiza, the latter of which saw him hold a coveted residency at arguably Ibiza's finest institution in underground clubbing.

Ascending through dance music's ranks with uncompromising style and no desire to follow trends, Dan has carved a name for himself as one the most forward think and talented DJ and producers around. As head of insanely cool label, Freak n Chic, that releases material from a host of underground stars such as Jamie Jones and Jose de Divina, Dan is now concentrating more on working in his Parisian studio, hosting afterparties back at the venue that made his name, and powering on in his mission to provide high quality, and his much heralded techno meets deep house sound to the dance world.

And on Saturday the 31st Jan he brings his Freak n Chic label party to Area 51, along with fellow DJ David K. As the unstoppable label rises speedily to the top of the dance music ranks theres no doubt that it is here to stay and the parties that go with it are monumental to say the least
