The number one techno festival to occur on British soil is nearly upon us. Techno god Sven Vath’s carefully curated festival holds no punches as it prepares an all out attack on the senses, with everything turned up to 11.
The simply stunning Temple Newsam estate will play the perfect host to Cocoon in the Park’s 5th birthday on Saturday 13th July 2013. And to celebrate its fifth year in style, Sven Vath has invited some of the worlds leading techno giants to Leeds.
This will include Minus & Plus 8 founder, as well as forerunner of the minimal techno scene - Richie Hawtin. A true pioneer in every sense of the word, Hawtin's advanced take on electronic music has led him to the world's biggest stages and won him devoted fans far and wide.

He’ll be joined by the charismatic Chilean charm of Ricardo Villalobos. A genuine visionary in his field, Ricardo has been at the forefront of micro house and techno for some time now. Deftly infusing latin vibes and an otherworldly organic feeling to what was a dying scene, Ricardo has established himself as a figurehead of forward thinking electronic music, and is no stranger to headlining the big events.
And last up we have the home grown genius of Craig Richards to look forward to. Now music director of London’s most iconic night spot Fabric, Craig has been at the cutting edge of British dance music for a hell of a long time. After forming the legendary Tyrant alongside Lee Burridge and Sasha, Craig has continued to defy genres and enthrall fans, as techno and breaks crossover, all with an underground feel that continues to challenge and excite in equal measure.
And of course, we have the man himself to look forward to - Sven Vath. The German DJ and producer really needs no introduction. After 30 years of DJing and with one of the most successful club brands ever under his belt, Sven is the real deal. Today Sven Väth and Cocoon continue to touch thousands of people across every continent with their inimitable brand of house and techno. His very special Cocoon in the Park party shows off just why this guy is as successful and well loved as he is.
