Leeds and Reading festival announce BBC Introducing Stage acts

Details of The Dance To The Radio Thursday night takeover at Leeds have also been unveiled.

Leeds Festival and Reading Festival have announced the full details of their BBC Introducing Stage. The line up was unveiled on Huw Stephen's BBC Radio 1 show last night (10th August) and is a comprehensive and eclectic mix of emerging talent.

In previous years the likes of Jake Bugg, Jack Garratt and Catfish and the Bottlemen have all made their debut performances on the stage and this year's crop looks to emulate the success of their peers.

Also revealed is the Thursday night takeover at Leeds festival. It is curated by local label Dance To The Radio, who will take over the BBC Introducing Stage to open the festival with a bill that includes The Wytches and Blood Red Shoes

Across the weekend there will be performances from Superglu (listen above), who headline the Friday night at Leeds and close Reading on the Sunday with the likes of Tusk, Sonny Green and K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade in support.

Shimmering indie rock band Coquin Migale headline the Saturday at Leeds and the Friday at Reading whilst Strong Asian Mothers and The Wholls also make appearances throughout the day.

Closing the BBC Introducing Stage at Leeds Festival will be Fronteers with their soaring britpop sonics, they play the saturday at Reading, and there will also be sets from The Shimmer Band and The Tin Pigeons.
