DJ Graeme Park is recovering in hospital from surgery to remove a tumour.
The legendary DJ first shared the news in a video on Instagram on Thursday 23rd October, captioned: “I’m afraid I’m going to be out of action for a while, but I’ll keep you posted right here over the coming weeks.”
In the video, he shared he needed “important surgery” on his throat and neck, adding he had “no idea” how long he’d be “out of action” for.
A blog post on Park’s website gave further details, where he also shared the news that he wouldn’t be able to appear at scheduled events in Bolton, Manchester, London, Shrewsbury, Ayr, and The Warehouse Project’s Hacienda event in Manchester across October and November.
The following day, Friday (24th October), Park shared an update on Instagram on Saturday (25th October), the Scottish DJ said: “Thank you for all of your wonderful and kind messages of support.
“Surgery went to plan [sic] and I’ll be home in a few days. Currently enjoying the rest.”
