London-based community music organisation Create Define Release (CDR) has launched its first-ever public fundraising campaign, ‘Pay It Forward’, marking a new chapter in its 20+ year journey supporting artists and producers.

Since 2002, CDR has worked with over 20,000 artists through workshops, events and development programmes, building and curating a space centred around collaboration, experimentation and community-led learning within the UK’s electronic music scene.

Framed around the idea of stewardship and creative lineage, the new campaign invites CDR's extended network of artists, collaborators and supporters to help secure the organisation’s future, keeping it independent, accessible and responsive to the needs of emerging music-makers.

Find out more about the 'Pay It Forward' on their website, by watching the campaign video below, or by donating now.

Speaking on the launch, founder Tony Nwachukwu said: “Pay It Forward is an invitation to invest in what comes next. Public funding has helped us build stability and plan with greater confidence, but stability alone doesn’t allow our community to fully grow, adapt, or respond to the changing needs of the artists it aims to serve.”

Funds raised will go towards expanding CDR’s work, including growing its youth programme, Music Producer Club nationally, developing a new community music studio, and supporting its long-term sustainability.

Nwachukwu added: “From the beginning, CDR has been about creating the kind of environment I wished had existed when I was finding my way. One rooted in openness, care, and shared learning. This campaign is about ensuring that sense of possibility continues for the next generation.”

Supporters can contribute through one-off or monthly donations, helping to fund accessible programming, youth development and future projects across the UK and beyond.
