Sheffield-based night Banana Hill are back with another night centred around global grooves for a celebration of the three years that they've been hosting parties. The soundtrack to the birthday soiree on Saturday 29th November at Hope Works is courtesy of Andres, Seven Davis Jr and Al Dobson Jr.
Banana Hill focuses on bringing a convergence of global grooves to Sheffield and Manchester. Through an understanding of cultures and the music within them, the organisers have captured spirit and genres from around the world. From afrobeat, funk, soul, disco and garage Banana Hill have got it covered.
Headlining their event this November is Andres. The multi-alias artist is considered to be a true Detroit legend, and his incredibly diverse taste stems from his Cuban-Jamaican background. The selector of house, boogie and hip hop has previously produced for Theo Parrish and Jurassic 5.
Also playing in Seven Davis Jr. After being raised on the influential sounds of Prince and Stevie Wonder, his love for Jazz and classical music soon stemmed to underground artists. His relationship with music is magical, not only does he deliver a set, he delivers a journey and an experience. Joining them is Al Dobson Jr. To view the full line up and to buy tickets head here.
