The Playground presents Ellen Allien, Luke Slater, A Guy Called Gerald

Some of the most influential and innovative artists hail from the depths of Berlin's electronic music scene, and The Playground's headline artist for Saturday 27th December is one of them. Ellen Allien is set to bring her signature abstract, bassy sound to KOKO as she and a host of other heavyweights give 2014 a stupendous send-off. 

The Playground has become a staple part of the underground music scene in the capital city, not only have they hosted some momentous events, their website and imprint have become a go-to place for the best in dance music.

For their final event of the year, it felt natural for them to secure a headliner who sits in their own individual league, Ellen Allien. Her own productions have been characterised as edgy, iconic and consistently brilliant, and her sets bounce between acid, techno and electro (check out a recently recorded one above). 

She'll be joined by another artist with legendary status, Luke Slater. The techno tastemaker has been at the forefront of the dance scene for over two decades. Also playing is A Guy Called Gerald, who most notably produced one of the most classic dance tracks of all time 'Voodoo Ray'. Get your tickets for the event here.
