Save Our Scene takes over FORGE for its Sheffield debut

The UK’s leading advocates for preserving grassroots music culture are making their long-awaited Steel City debut on Friday 25th October 2024. Save Our Scene: Sheffield will take over the prestigious FORGE nightclub in collaboration with SNAFU Events, curating two rooms of eye-watering talent spanning the venue’s main room and workroom. Donations from ticket sales are being made to Music Venues Trust, to help protect the future of UK grassroots music venues. 

We are still awaiting the full lineup but based on who’s been revealed so far, this will not be one you want to miss. So far Save Our Scene: Sheffield has unveiled the country’s most intriguing rising electronic star Effy, globe-trotting rave connoisseur dj fuckoff, and genre-hopping trendsetter Miley Serious to be manning the decks with much more to come.

If the names aren’t enough, donations from ticket sales are going straight to the Music Venues Trust, who strive to protect and preserve UK grassroots venues, and whom Skiddle has been proud to support since 2023. MVT’s efforts have included the launch of its ownership scheme, which has used crowdfunding to buy struggling grassroots venues, bringing stability in a time of rising costs and venue closures.
