Entail have been in the form of their lives this year. Things kicked off back in January with techno don Timo Maas, followed by Cocoon mainstays Extrawelt in February and Ida Endberg in June, which saw them launch into the summer months in emphatic fashion.
Setting up shop at the magnificent Electric Brixton, the tireless ambassadors of underground house and techno put together a full menu of tough, uncompromising beats with Traum Schallplatten and Cocoon heroes Extrawelt making their second appearance for Entail this year.
We're big fans of the live setting, especially when it comes to techno, which is something Extrawelt have become increasingly revered for. Their take no prisoners sets typically bring together unrelenting crisp beats, obscure sound effects and momentary melodic beauty to create a sound that is both tough and inviting.
At times dark and brooding, at others floaty and hypnotic, Extrawelt's penchant for smoky dub techno, rough beats and gorgeous ambience have repeatedly marked them as a unique force in the techno sphere, with their style designed to excite both the mind and feet. Hear their set from Switzerland's Electroclub above to see what we mean (check out the brief White Stripes re-edit around the 57 minute mark).
London double team Krankbrother join them, with their floor-focused tech house stylings (hear that above) guaranteed to make the most of Electric Brixton's bone crushing sound system. Grab those tickets here.
