Skiddle: The UK's biggest guide to festivals

There's so many amazing festivals out there but it can be difficult to work out which festivals you're going to attend. There's so many things to take into consideration - the location of the festival, the size of the festival, the genre of music, whether it's family friendly and the type of facilities onsite.

The Dangleberries were formed following a meeting in September 2001. A week later we had our first practice which consisted of pipes and various kinds of drums we managed to gather together.

Our first gig was in November of the same year which was a friend's engagement party. Soon after a bass guitar was added to the band and later still an acoustic guitar.

In 2002 the band were asked to play at the Wickerman Festival where we enjoyed a great reception and have played every year since.

In 2006, we were invited to Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival to play on the main stage. And we're pleased to say we've been asked back every year since, alongside names such as Embrace, The Automatic, James, Amy McDonald, Scouting For Girls, Magic Numbers, Attic Lights, the Waterboys and One Night Only to name but a few!! The whole band have an absolute ball every year we go. And we are encouraging more and more from down in Dumfries & Galloway to join us for the trek up to Sneckie!!
