Since the anticipated opening at the end of January, Sankeys has been a topic of conversation when it comes to discussions of Manchester's thriving nightlife. Merging their old-school vibes with their sleek new feel, the club has found success among many who once attended and always wanted to go.
And now they come through with the announcement that they have been successful in their application to run events into the early hours. Securing a 6 AM licence, Sankeys will see the club elevate amongst their already high-energy events, including the twice-weekly parties over the past month.
The announcement also comes in time with the return of their seminal house and garage night, The Redlight, which will be commencing on the May Bank Holiday (Sunday 24th).
One of the club’s partners, Wilf Gregory, spoke about the 6 am licence, saying, "The 6 AM licence is a landmark moment for Sankeys. Extended hours have always been central to our identity, giving people the freedom to fully lose themselves in the music. Restoring that late-night journey alongside the return of our OG brand, The Redlight marks a powerful new chapter for the club and Manchester’s underground scene."
