The weekend is nearly here, and this one is going to be a stormer. It’s the end of the month so everyone has been paid, if you’re at University your student loan should still be fairly fresh and quite simply if you want it, the party is there. And now here’s the Weekends Matter Podcast, which rams the point home even more.

This time the guest mix is from a DJ we’ve loved here at Skiddle for years, Yousef. Consistently on top of his game, the Liverpool bred selector has been at the apex of house music brilliance for longer than we can remember, soundtracking some of our most delirious dancefloor desires across the UK, Ibiza and beyond. Whether dropping percussive monsters, rawer than sushi house or rolling techno grooves, he’s a DJ that never fails to deliver and the 48^th edition of the Weekends Matter podcast sees him in typically fine fettle.

Of course the one place he’s always shone brighter than other is in his own lair, the indomitable Circus. This weekend the epochal clubnight celebrates its eleventh year of parties with another barnstorming weekend, kick-starting it at Egg London with System of Survival and Shaun Reeves.

The big one however is a day later when the roadshow hits Liverpool’s East Village Arts Club, where Yousef will be joined by perennial Circus favourites Seth Troxler, Cassy, Scuba, Catz N Dogz and fellow residents Lewis Boardman and Scott Lewis. Arguably the biggest date in Liverpool clubland, it’s a party that consistently sells out and if you’re at a loose end this weekend we can’t recommend it enough.
