With its cobbled front courtyard, network of industrial warehouses, ramps, passageways and massive outdoor terrace on the River Avon, Motion provides a flexible backdrop for indoor and outdoor events of all shapes and sizes

Venue owners aim to "promote forward thinking music in all of its fabulous forms" and this certainly seems to be the case, with Motion having hosted some of the world's leading artists, DJs and music brands over the last few years. Despite an almost relentless schedule of large scale events week-in-week-out, Motion has maintained its integrity and commitment to underground music, creating its own culture of fans, artists and promoters and becoming a central pillar of the region's dance music community.

2011 saw Motion voted 37th Best Club in the World by DJ Mag - though we can't help but feel it should have been higher. Don't visit Bristol without checking this place out.
