Thousands of people are set to flock to Rushton Spencer on August Bank Holiday weekend when the annual Triplefest once again unfolds on to the lush green fields of Staffordshire.

The 2013 Triplefest will be held at its usual venue on a small working farm, on the A523 between Leek and Macclesfield. The event will feature three days of action-packed entertainment and family fun, beginning on Saturday and running until Monday. All the proceeds go to charity, with the event having raised £150,000 for local and national charitable causes over the past 20 years.

Volunteers at Triplefest have been working hard these past few months to make sure everything goes smoothly on the weekend. All visitors have to do is turn up, enjoy the spectacle and sample a real slice of festival life.

The Big Tent Event kicks everything off at 7.30pm on Saturday 24th August and will feature world class entertainers and TV artists, ensuring a comic night that is not to be missed. The acts are never disclosed before the day but past acts have included: Syd Little, Grumbleweeds and Bruce Thompson. Who will be performing this year?

On Sunday 25th August, 4pm-11pm Welly Fest is back! Staffordshire’s largest music and beer festival presents over 7 hours of live music, featuring nine bands and over forty beers, along with numerous other activities such as 5 a side football tournament and tug-o-war. With a range of live music to entertain all ages, from rock to reggae, Irish to indie – there is something for everyone.

Finally the weekend concludes with the Country Fayre on Bank Holiday Monday 26th August. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Country Fayre features horse stunt riders and a dog display team in the main arena. There will also be a huge range of other attractions including outdoor stalls, animals, car boot sale, country crafts, classic cars, trial bikes and country pursuits. Running from 11am to 5pm it’s the perfect way to spend a fun filled day with the whole family.

The Beer Festival, provided by Wincle Brewery, will run across the whole weekend, offering a wide variety of both dark and pale ales, along with fruitful perries, ciders and even pyders. Of course, there will be lots more drinks available if beer is not your thing! Similarly, there are a number of food options, with a BBQ on Saturday, addition of a curry stall on Sunday, and multiple food outlets on Monday.

With a full schedule of activities throughout the weekend, there’s bound to be something to keep all the family entertained. Free camping and parking are available. There’s no need to book, just turn up and enjoy the events.
