We caught up with Soundwave ahead of their launch night.

So what is Soundwave? It?s a brand on a mission to bring the best dance music to Bournemouth through nights @ the old fire station and special events & festivals. Our first event is at the old fire station and has Fury (hard dance) main room with kutski Alex Kidd and the Organ Donors headlining and trance and progressive in room 2 with The Thrillseekers and Slinky legend Signum headlining.

Why the old fire station and what can we expect? The old fire station is a 1200 capacity live music venue that has been recently refurbished & is well run, it has never been a branded nightclub and so people are there for the music only. With its three rooms we can have different genre?s and brands together creating a proper clubbing experience that has been lost across the country. If you go to room 2 to ?check out the music? get lost & come back 2 hours later with a big smile on your face, that is what we are about. On our launch night as well as the big line up you can expect big production, extra sound, lights, lasers & ice cannons we really are opening with a bang.

What are you looking forward to? Well kutski of course& the Organ Donors, I?m as intrigued as anyone about what kind of madness they will get up to in 90 minutes and I booked them! Its also their first gig in their home town for 3 years. JP and Jukesy & Alex kidd are returning to the southcoast. As for the 400 capacity trance room we have Dark fusion who recently closed the still packed Trancecoda 1st bday with a lot of their own productions, Dan Thompson is flying with his productions winning tune of the week on ASOT and support from Schultz, Armin etc one to check out. Not only do we have The Thrillseekers and Signum playing an hour each they will be playing an hour b2b classics set to finish the night off so Happy Christmas.

Lastly why Bournemouth? Well Bournemouth lost a lot of its clubs and music through miss management of venues & we want to help put it back on the clubbing map. There are good nights like Slam (hard house)and Remedy a fresh take on trance & the modern Slinky, evolution if you like. They hold bi monthly events in bars and also @ the o2. But we aim to fill the gap by creating a proper club feel & hosting different types of events. Bournemouth is also a beautiful seaside town with thousands of hotels. The futures bright, the futures Bournemouth.
