It's not often you hear a DJ on Radio One slag off a record. It's even less likely you hear two DJ's slag off the same record. This however, is exactly what happened to Sash! and the latest mashup production type thing. 'Raindrops (Encore Une Fois)'

Raindrops (Encore Un Fois) is a mash-up of Sash!'s huge 1997 number 2 hit 'Encore Un Fois' and 'Raindrops' by Stunt. Just so you know.

I remember being in Barcelona on holiday with my parents when Sash were about. My mum would clarify when that was, but put it this way I had no real knowledge of music outside of the top40, apart from of course my mums collection of Lionel Richie, Eric Clapton and the Notting Hill Soundtrack. You can understand then, why I probably though t Sash was quite good whilst on holiday in Barcelona.

The difference is, I would still quite happily listen to Eric Clapton or Lionel Richie, and my friends would probably let me get away with it. This latest outing of Sash! however, is rubbish. It deserves to be slagged off as much as possible, and hopefully it will be removed from the Radio1 playlist. Until it is, I won't be paying my licence fee.

Utter nonsense.
