So it's High-Fi's first birthday next Saturday, and in a single year these boys from the villages outside Cardiff have Sold out a bank vault, a warehouse and Baskerville hall, twice... clocking up a 2000 strong following and a reputation for bringing true german inspired techno, heavy production and international headliners to the Welsh capital and further afield.

Their first birthday line-up already features Swedish Drumcode and Hot Creations Legend Tiger Stripes, and Germany's Oliver Immer, alongside High-Fi residents Argy and Tekno Tom. Now they're bringing in the mighty RC1 Soundsystem to deliver what will be wall shaking sound production.

RC1 feature at Eastern Electrics, Hospitality in the Park and countless major dance events and festivals. They were voted the No1 Soundsystem in the UK in a recent facebook poll, and in a venue with no sound regs, it's going to get silly.

Here's the results of a recent Soundclash when RC1 went up against VOID, the rig High-Fi used for it's last outing...

'As the night went on the bass levels crept up and we were delighted to find that, despite us being dwarfed by the size of the Void rig, the RC1 came into its own and put up more than a good fight. The Void was an exceptional rig, but in the end was not even close to matching the RC1 for bassweight. Towards the end, as the difference between the rigs became so extreme the crowd were literally buzzing and shouting in support of the RC1, which was an amazing result!'

Baskerville Hall (yes the one featured in Sherlock Holmes) is where Fantasia, Boomtown and were born, Carl Cox even played the venue in the 90's.

High-Fi are well into final release so if true techno and tech house is your thing, then you're in for a very special night.
