A new study by Clubbing.TV has revealed that only 22% of artists booked to play Ibiza’s main rooms this season are female or nonbinary.

The manual study saw Clubbing.TV review every announced lineup from Ibiza clubs, using official Instagram pages and Ibiza Spotlight listings. Events with incomplete lineups were excluded for accuracy.

Removing duplicate entries, the results showed that out of 980 booked artists, 214 are women or non-binary, compared to 766 men.

According to the research, the events where women and non-binary artists made up under 15% of the total bookings, the lowest, were Marco Carola at Pacha, The Martinez Brothers at Hi, Bedouin at Club Chinois, and MËSTIZA at Hi.

On the other end of the spectrum, events with over 23% of women and nonbinary bookings were LoveJuice at Ibiza Rocks, Black Coffee at Hi, Carl Cox at [UNVRS], ANTS at Ushuaia, and RESISTANCE at Amnesia.

Clubbing.TV marked that, while this year’s results were a slight improvement on the 2023 results, they were "disappointingly flat compared to the early positive signals in 2024."
