It's been a mixed bag on the Skiddle office stereo recently, yesterday the soft sounds of Mount Kimbie coming through our speakers with last week experiencing a blast of nostalgia courtesy of both The Charlatans and Layo & Bushwacka! Today though it's all gone a bit hectic... it's 10am and Flux Pavilion is blowing the bass out of the speakers.

Tuesday won't know what's hit it as we're giving ourselves the short sharp adrenaline burst that we need courtesy of some classic bass bolstered braggadocio in the shape of Blow the Roof, an eight track slab of sonic swagger from the Circus records boss. Across these eight tracks it's easy to see how he has ensnared a nomination for Best producer at the Bass Music Awards 2013, which for all it's blustering bombast has a nice amount of charm and subtlety in it. It's almost as if he strokes your face after he's melted it off.

Of course it's one thing throwing shapes at an unfathomably early point in the day midweek, but this kind of full frontal aural assault is much better experienced in the flesh. You can do just that by picking up tickets for the Freeway Tour, which takes in 12 dates form its starting point on the 29th November at the 02 Academy in Sheffield, before it finishes in Glasgow on the 14th December. for further details, check out Flux Pavilion Freeway Tour on Sale Now
