Irish queer-led collective to launch a new club night in London this month

Launching Saturday 27th February, Irish queer-led collective Club Rua will be heading to EartH Hackney, in London, for a 12-month-long residency. Known across the city for their underground electronic sounds and forward-thinking programming, Club Rua's event series will focus on creating a space for queer and FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans, and Agender) individuals.

Drawing from Celtic folklore and corrupted Catholic imagery, Club Rua described their club nights as "reclaiming ritual, ecstasy, and excess through a queer lens." 

With the lineup for the first night filled with local favourites, Reenie, Holy C, DJ-CK and Club Rua founder Toraigh, it'll span genres, trance, hardgroove, techno and more. Announcing the launch, Toraigh said: "We want to create a space where queer and FLINTA artists and audiences feel seen and celebrated and to champion DJs who are already pushing the scene forward and need more opportunities to grow."
