Hoochie Coochie have been making a name for themselves in Newcastle for a few years now, with the luxurious venue bringing a distinct vibe to the Tyne, sweeping the City with the very best of funk, soul, jazz and disco.
To affirm their status as Newcastle's prime purveyors of funk, soul and anything in between the club are rolling out a DJ who's been spinning records in the field for years on Friday 14th November.
After over three decades of swaying dance floors worldwide with his infamous M+M mixes , John Morales knows his way around a DJ set, evident in this brilliant Boiler Room mix below.
He grew up in the Bronx where he would later DJ the local clubs before realising that he wanted to get more out of his music, this is where his notorious 'Deadly Medleys' (below) came from, essentially making John one of the original pioneers of the extended mix.
These mixes where picked up by New York figureheads, eventually culminating into the formation of M+M productions, a formidable force that too this present day see's John as the king of remixes and re-edits in the field, with ground breaking hits for the likes of Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones and many many more.
