Hidden Spheres has released new single, ‘I Feel Good’, ahead of the release of his forthcoming Primitive Needs EP, which arrives in March.
The Mancunian producer offers the first taste of his fourth EP on the Rhythm Section label in the form of the new deep house single ‘I Feel Good’, marking a return to his house roots. Featuring sirens, 808s, and swirling pads, it’s one for the dancefloor.
The Rhythm Section mainstay has already released three EPs through the label - including You Are Not Your Body and Well Well - and now prepares to release his fourth. The EP will feature five tracks, moulded for dancefloors with a Detroit house style, with influences including early Kerri Chandler and Rod Trent.
Looking at other tracks on the EP, ‘Come On, Yeh’ offers a New Jersey house sound, with bongos, dubby organ chord stabs, and punchy 909s, and ‘Don’t You Wanna’ boasts a swung groove, resampled pads, and a spoken refrain.
Moving to the B-side, ‘Get Down’ brings fat bass and moody strings. Then, it moves to single ‘I Feel Good’, before landing on the final track, ‘You Don’t Know’, which maintains tension with classic house piano chords and a percussive loop, but brings the vibe down a notch to close out the project.
Hidden Spheres’ Primitive Needs EP will be released on 20th March via Rhythm Section. You can presave the EP now.
