DF Concerts today announce the location of a brand new UK festival, Connect, set to take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September 2007 in the grounds of the stunning Inveraray Castle, Argyll, Scotland.

The 2 day inaugural event will see up to 20,000 people come together to watch an eclectic mix of internationally acclaimed artists across several stages, with a range of onsite camping options including bespoke tee pees and pods plus an extensive transport network linking all areas of Scotland, including the central belt, by road, air and even sea.

Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts says, "We’re delighted to be able to confirm Connect’s location today in one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever seen and are very much looking forward to working with the Duke of Argyll and his team at Inveraray Castle to deliver what will be a truly unique event not just for Scotland but for the UK as a whole.

"DF Concerts promote a wide range of outdoor events throughout the year and we’re proud to be adding Connect to our award-winning programme. With ticket information, artists and attractions still to be unveiled over the coming months this is just the start of Connect’s journey and it’s one that we’re all incredibly excited about making. Music fans should register at http://www.connectmusicfestival.com for the latest information."

The Connect experience will begin as soon as you disembark your flight or train and join one of the network of festival shuttle buses. With the total journey taking just 90 minutes from Glasgow and 150 minutes from Edinburgh, you’ll have just enough time to fully take in the magnificent views as you wind your way along the West Road of Loch Lomond, leaving it far behind as you swing left at Tarbet.

Heading up past Loch Lomond, following in the footsteps of the generations who’ve gone before you, your MP3 might be blaring out but you’re not singing yet, left speechless by the truly breath-taking scenery that’s put Scotland firmly on the international destination map.

Stopping to admire the inspiring and beautiful view at the Rest And Be Thankful, swallowing the clear air of history off the hillsides before sweeping down into the town of Inveraray. The Georgian architecture of 18th Century Inveraray Castle and Scotland’s longest sea loch, Loch Fyne dominates your view as your final destination comes into sight.

The electronica and guitar sounds of the stages resonate across the Castle grounds as your inaugural Connect experience evolves, continuing until night time. Wandering back to your tent through the mystical woodland of the estate, or hopping on to one of the shuttle buses back home, you rest until the next morning the sleepy campsite awakens. Emerging from your tents, tee pees and pods, you taste the crisp clean air of the Highlands, as the anticipation of the weekend's atmosphere builds again.

Together you have Connected.
