NEWS of a one-off reunion for regulars of Croydon nightclub Blue Orchid has brought with it a wave of nostalgia on Twitter.

Our stories on plans for the reunion night later this month have attracted more than 6,000 page views, while it was also a popular topic of conversation for Croydon's Twitterati of a certain vintage, remembering their clubbing days.

@AllAboutCroydon tweeted: "A reunion for #Croydon's Blue Orchid. Got tickets for my 16th Birthday there. Well at least everyone is over 18 now. #theblueschoolkid"

BBC Radio DJ Mark Carter recalled: "Did you go to the Blue Orchid in #Croydon? I'm afraid I did. And the burger van:)"
