The Acoustic Festival introduces a new performance area this year, the Musicians Against Homelessness stage. Featuring several known artists, un-plugged and away from their safety net of a bigger production and band. Steve Diggle of the Buzzcocks, Matt Owen of Noah and the Whale, Jay Aston of Jean Loves Jezabel, Jenny Mathias from The Belle Stars and Charlie Harper of UK Subs are amongst those playing. A veritable change from the angst they normally associated with ! A new audience maybe, for this eclective and rootsy festival, whilst the awe inspiring, huge outdoor stage returns and will host the golden oldies Lindisfarne, Climax Blues and Sad Café during Saturday. A wealth of talented newcomers are always to be seen in the big top as usual, always a popular audience zone for the regulars, whilst the big real ale marquee hosts an endless stream of Celtic folk fiddle and blues bands throughout the weekend . A great get a way for those wanting good company and music but not the major crowded busy festival, that often hurts the pocket. Roll on spring time.c
