£7,000 raised after the death of an Oasis fan at Wembley Stadium

After the tragic news of the death of family man and Oasis fan, Lee Claydon, fellow fans have come forward with donations to pay their respects

Following the tragic death of 45-year-old family man from Bournemouth, Lee Claydon, on Saturday, 2nd August 2025 at Oasis' 4th show at Wembley Stadium, a GoFundMe has been set up, which has raised over £7,000. 

Claydon's cause of death was announced as injuries consistent with a fall from the upper‑tier balcony in front of around 100,000 attendees, where he was attending the show with his brother and his brother's children.

Since hearing the news, Oasis came forward and released a statement on Sunday, 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.'

Described as 'a hard-working family man' who 'loved his kid', Lee sadly leaves behind his partner, Amanda and son, who were not in attendance at the concert. The unfortunate news has brought Oasis fans together on social media to pay their respects to Lee Claydon, with donations to his GoFundMe, which was set up by his brother, Aaron Claydon. 

The page pays tribute to Lee Claydon with a statement, 'Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss.'
