Valentine's day is fast approaching, there are chocolate hearts in the shops and the gushy cards are around, which can be a bit depressing when you are single, but would love to be with someone special/great/hot/sexy or all of the above!

Here are five tips on how you don't have to feel left out....

1) Single Friends

Have a single friends night out on Feb 14th, let your hair down, it's not like just because you are single you can't have fun on Feb 14.

2) Send Cards

Agree with a group of single friends to send each other cards.... I've done this before, I got really excited to get the card thinking it was real until I realised that it was from a friend, but hey it's nice to feel loved.

3) Get Set up

This one has pro's and cons, it could be a great night or it could be a disaster! But why not put it out there to your friend's and see if they know anyone who might be perfect for you....

4) Plan

Make plans with friends to do something completely different and forget about the day, it's only once a year.... do your own thing and enjoy yourself.

5) Pre-date

Come along to my get a valentine speed dating event on Feb 6th to meet new people, have fun and hopefully there will be someone there who you can spend Feb 14th with! More info here http://goo.gl/wNXhK
