Award-winning singer songwriter, Katie Nicholas, quickly gained recognition through the filming, animating and designing of her own music videos and content while capturing audiences with her intricate lyrics and magnetic presence on stage.
Her musical journey began at seventeen, after uploading a home-made video on Valentine’s Day. ‘Chemistry’ quickly hit over 100,000 viral hits, landing her a Liverpool Music Award in 2013 and a No.1 in the UK & Irish Country Chart. Following this, Katie went on to perform at C2C Country to Country at London O2, being featured as a pop-up act in the vicinity of artists like Lady Antebellum and Brandy Clark and more. During Katie’s short career, she has already worked with and supported great artists including The Verve, Nina Nesbitt and Rizzle Kicks. More recently, visiting Abbey Road Studios to record her songs with upcoming producers.
In 2015, Katie independently released her first album, Dizzy, on her 20th birthday. Aspiring to show that it’s possible to create a buzz while unsigned, self-sufficient and on low-budget, her successful campaign generated such an interest that her custom designed CD pre-orders sold out on first batch. As a thank you for the overwhelming support, Katie added personal gifts for each album pre-order.
