Lauren Spencer Smith is a British-born Canadian singer-songwriter from Port Alberni, British Columbia, who lives in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Her 2019 live album Unplugged, Vol. 1 was a Juno Award nominee for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2020, but lost to Shine a Light by Bryan Adams.
