" Born in 2011 out of a shared love of tambourines, noise and everything in-between. Dead Rabbits make music they love and share it with whoever wants to listen. Shoegaze, Psychedelia, Rock 'n' Roll, music is music, when it's good, it's great.

Founding members Thomas Hayes & Neil Atkinson Jr, were making music together long before the birth of Dead Rabbits, always with the same philosophy, bare your soul and be free from consequence. There's no hiding, this isn't a trend, this is music.

2011 saw Dead Rabbits release 6 EPs on London based record label, Flower Power Records, the blueprint for the bands long awaited debut album 'The Ticket That Exploded'. A name taken from William S. Burroughs. unnerving sci-fi novel.

The following year writing the album commenced. The band wanted to capture their live sound, a realistic picture needed to be painted. As with most bands, Dead Rabbits lacked the funds to pay for recording time in space big enough to record live. Tom struck a deal with a local recording studio "if you help us, we'll help you". After weeks of working for the studio Tom eventually earned enough recording time for the band to head in and record, a few weeks later the album was mixed, mastered and ready for release.

Dead Rabbits have never seen themselves as the final article, a shared belief between the band that they should always be looking for where to go next, sharing ideas and realities. A step in any direction the bands wishes, not being swayed by influence from the outside, ode to the real thing.

When you listen to Dead Rabbits you'll hear dreams, you'll hear thoughts, you'll hear bliss, a blend of magic. What you'll hear will be 100% real, straight from the soul. Debut album 'The Ticket That Exploded' is out now on Fuzz Club Records, it needs to be heard…."
