From the laidback rhymes of Loyle Carner to the raging, adrenaline-pumping tracks of Carti to the lyrical prowess of Little Simz, hip-hop is an incredibly diverse genre.

Since its humble beginnings in New York in the 70s, hip-hop has evolved, mutated, and spawned many sub-genres spanning drill, trap, rage, experimental, psychedelic, jazz rap, boom bap, backpack, emo, and more.

It’s amazing to see all the talent the genre produces. But it’s even better to see these artists live in the flesh, tearing up the stage and hyping up crowds to a level you can’t even imagine.

If you’re keen to be one of those in the mosh pits, here are the best hip-hop festivals in 2025.

Where: Burgess Park in London, England

2025 lineup: Masego, Westside Gunn, Elmiene, Nooriyah, Benny The Butcher, Lex Amor, dublon, Young Franco, Aroop Roy, and more

Taking a break from giant hip-hop fests overseas, London jazz favourites Jazz Cafe brings a festival to the capital to showcase the sounds of jazz, R&B, Latin, and the kind of hip-hop that typically leans closer to jazzier, acoustic instrumentals rather than trap.

Focusing on the rappers on the lineup, Griselda Records’ Westside Gunn and Benny The Butcher will be performing in their Plant Room. Okay, so Rolling Loud’s California edition has been and gone but RL consistently puts on some of the best hip-hop festivals in the world so we couldn’t not put it on your radar. The good news is that they’ll be bringing the party to Thailand (and hopefully Europe) later this year.

For ten years now, Rolling Loud has been putting on huge events, including massive festivals with some of the scene’s biggest names. Like Wireless, Rolling Loud attracts music fans who fully live the “go hard or go home” motto.

Once again, Rolling Loud California killed it this year with sets from A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Ski Mask The Slump God, Sexyy Red, Ab-Soul, Quavo, Sematary, Redveil, and more. Expect a similarly incredible lineup for the Thailand bash.
