LoveJuice returns to Boxpark Wembley for the biggest New Years Eve party in London, get ready for the countdown with a two-stepping boogie, and let the beat and the musi lift you into the new year. This year Birmingham’s own DJ Hazard is celebraring 25 years in the DnB scene in LAB11, and his bringin with him a lineup of absolute legends. Having captivated the DnB scene across the world with his many record releases which have helped him become a house hold name, it’s fitting for the 25 years anniversary to take place in his home city at his favourite venue.

CLOSEUP COMEDY at Herberts Yard with Kane Brown

When: Wednesday 13th December 2023

Where: Herberts Yard in Birmingham

Part of Closeup Comedys run of gigs around Birmingham, every Wednesday in the run up to Christmas, this night at Herberts Yard, with the increidbly charismatic and funny Kane Brown looks set to tbe the best of the bunch. Expect uproarious laughter, a crowd like no other, and potentially an audience member getting Kane to recreate his viral clip (cha, upset me, nasty b***h) this show is going to be a belter, and there are few venues in Birmingham better to see comedy in December.

Finnlay K + Support

When: Friday 15th December 2023

Where: Arts Club Loft in Liverpool

Following on from a sell-out show at Jimmys in June, Finnlay K and his band return to Liverpool for a Christmas extravaganza. Playing the 'Do You Know?' EP in full, alongside new music and a couple of Have A Word Podcast favourites.

Hailing from Rhyl in North Wales, and a part of the juggernaut that is the Have A Word Podcast, Finnlay is the newest voice in the UK Indie Pop scene. Synth-infused, guitar-driven choruses and introspective lyrics have drawn comparisons to the likes of Blossoms and Dermot Kennedy.

Bassfest NYE Sheffield 23-24

When: Sunday 31st December 2023

Where: Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham

Bassfest, one of the leading UK events brand for all things, hard, heavy, and bass-fuelled, are bringing an absolute stomper of a lineup to Sheffield for New Year's Eve, with the bill for this year-ending bash will read like poetry to all fans of the drums and the bass. The likes of Hybrid Minds, Andy C, Arrdee, Sammy Virji, Bou, Flowdan, Holy Goof, Turno, Mozey, Simula, Interplanetary Criminal, and SO many more will be providing the flames across the three arenas at the Magna Science Adventure Centre.

Meraki x That's That: HUNEE

When: Saturday 9th December 2023

Where: Meraki in Liverpool

For the first time in four years Hunee will be playing in Liverpool, making his Meraki debut on Saturday 9th December. A DJ who has a close relationship with the dancefloor, he is known for taking you on a musical journey, making this an incredibly exciting prospect.

This will be an intimate space to see him in, a rare occurrence given his profile. What you can expect to hear is an exploratory journey through multiple genres, with most of his sets being completely unique, you won't know which avenue he's going to turn down next.

AFTA DARK - New Years Eve

Christmas Comedy at the Market ft Tez Ilyas

When: Thursday 14th December 2023

Where: Red Brick in Wellington

What better festive present than a proper good laugh, eh? This year in Wellington, just outside of Birmingham Tez Ilyas, one of the most celebrated stars in British comedy, is joined by regular MC Rob Mulholland, with Mike Newall & Adam Beardsmore supporting, for a Christmas comedy extravaganza at the Red Brick market that looks set to be one of the best comedy events in the city this festive season.

SNEAKS & PEAKS - Vol 2

When: Sunday 3rd December 2023

Where: Hockley Social Club in Birmingham

Following a massive return back in May, where they delivered a sneaker expo with some of Birmingham's biggest specialists, cleaners, a trading pit, and streetwear collectors; Sneaks & Peaks are returning to Hockley Social Club for Volume 2 on the 3rd of December, just in time for a Christmas special!

So for all you Sneaker and Streetwear geeks, this will be a hall filled with some of the most exclusive gear and some of the most like-minded enthusiasts of the scene.

Plus, you don't have to worry about getting hungry during your peruse of the rails, as Digbeth Dining Club will be on hand to satiate all your cravings, serving food all day; this time from Only Jerkin’, Urban Cheesecake, Dai Pai Dong, Street Souvlaki, and Filthy Butties.

Brummie emotional indie pop legends, The Twang, are heading out on tour at the back end of the year, and this date in Wrexham looks set to be an absolute stomper. With a gig that will promise classics like 'Either Way', 'Barney Rubble', and 'Wide Awake' alongside all the deeper cuts their true fans know and love this set will be one for the memory books, as the Twang never fail to deliver a wicked set.
