The word iconic is bandied around an awful lot when it comes to this sort of thing, but surely nowhere deserves the title more than The Warehouse in Leeds.
Going strong since 1979, The Warehouse has become an integral part of the Yorkshire city's thriving nightlife. Hosting such legendary acts as Sasha, Greg Wilson, LFO, Mike Pickering, The Stone Roses and Oasis over its 34 year existence, The Warehouse has introduced a whole new culture to the North of England, becoming an epicentre for underground music and cutting edge clubbing.
With the forthcoming program of activity being released recently, we take a quick look at some of the unmissable events taking place in the Leeds venue.
October the 5th features the self proclaimed house gangsterDJ Sneak, house music purist Darius Syrossian, and Jaymo & George as part of the Moda Black night. An absolute essential for the house heads out there, Moda Black will hold an unrelenting, strictly dancefloor focused soiree of underground house music, with some of the biggest names on the scene soundtracking an unforgettable night of four to the floor goodness. Man of the momentToddla T will be bringing his sound system along with Shola Ama, Serocee & DRS, Benga, Mele and Amy Becker on the 23rd November, whilst Hot Flush head honcho Scuba is pencilled in for 30th November. He will be bringing along a posse of Hot Flush favourites, including George Fitzgerald, Paul Woolford, and Dense & Pika for a night showcasing the undoubted brilliance of the electronic imprint.
Rounding things off will be the arrival of Steve Lawler's widely acclaimed Viva Warriors. Darius Syrossian returns to The Warehouse for more intelligent house business, alongside Detlef and ofcourse the man himself Steve Lawler.
