The Scottish techno legends are the first acts announced for the 10,000-strong Aberdeen festival, which looks to knock last year's debut out of the park.

After an unforgettable debut edition at Aberdeens Hazlehead Park this year, Granite City Festival are turning up the volume for 2026, and have today announced their first headliner, none other than Scotland's OG techno titans, The Time Frequency.
Founded in the early 1990s by producer Jon Campbell, The Time Frequency are widely renowned as Scotland's first Techno group, and have gone through several different personnel lineups in their history, but have always stayed true to the party, creating numerous hits, including the likes of "The Ultimate High", "New Emotion" and "Real Love."

Last year's inaugural edition of Granite City saw 10,000 people enjoying house, trance, dance, old skool, and more, with music spread across three stages, including acts like Roger Sanchez, Darren Styles, Judge Jules, Billy Gillies, KIMMIC, Graeme Park, N-Trance (live), Shugz, Dream Frequency, Christina Novelli, Lisa Lashes, Dee Dee (live), Yomanda, Mauro Picotto, Dave Pearce, Signum, Seb Fontaine, and more.
Having taken in feedback from thousands of festival-goers, the festival has said to expect a significant improvement across the board, with bigger arenas, bigger production, more bars, and an upgraded VIP experience with new perks & premium facilities.
