Selecta: 001 // Shy FX and David Rodigan

Where: Loughborough Students Union in Loughborough

One for the students out there...

From the knowledgable heads behind one of the UK's favourite touring club events, Cirque Du Soul comes a brand new and exclusive night for the Loughborough student base, providing world-class live performances from some of the best and biggest names in current dance music - Selecta.

Taking over the ones and two's for the brand's inaugural instalment - on Saturday 20th November - two of the loftiest household names in bass music. Requiring very little introduction, headliners Shy FX and David 'Ram Jam' Rodigan MBE will do what they do best, cranking up the gigawatts and blowing the lid off of the Loughborough Students Union.

Tory Lanez live

Where: O2 Academy Brixton in London

Canadian singer-songwriter, Grammy-nominated rapper and acclaimed record producer, Tory Lanez hits UK shores this December for a limited run of dates. 

The controversial rap star, whose name has recently featured in headlines across the globe, following an apparent altercation with Megan Thee Stallion, is one of few current American hip hop artists currently finding and hitting the sweet spot between two popular genres of music - R&B and rap.

Catapulted to fame following his breakthrough full-length record, 2016's I Told You, the twenty-nine-year-old has since scored a series of chart-topping hits in his native Canada and in the U.S., including albums, MEMORIES DON'T DIE, Chixtape5 and most recently, PLAYBOY

See the North American performing tracks from his latest release - including 'Extravagant Bullshit/Nunchucks' - at the O2 Academy Brixton on Monday 6th December.

Terminal V Distrikt 14

Where: Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh

Fans of techno and house music, assemble. The team behind Edinburgh's electronic mecca music festival, Terminal V have announced a two-day run of events to fill the void between now and their next instalment in 2022. 

Taking over the recently refurbed and reopened O2 Academy, formerly known as the Corn Exchange, situated in the centre of the city, Terminal V's Distrikt 14 will be the first event to test out the venues new fittings and in-house sound system. Promising a party like no other in Edinburgh this year, the brand's first gathering in over two years will see stand out sets from a long list of internationally acclaimed DJ talents. 

On the lineup, ticket holders can expect to see Ben Klock,, Joseph Capriati, Len Faki, Stephen Brown, Sven Väth and many more.

Expect the usual mind-blowing Terminal V production, including groundbreaking lighting, hypnotic visual installations and forward-thinking concepts, redefining the live music experience.

Parra for Cuva

When: Friday 6th May 2022

Where: KOKO in London

Back due to popular demand, German electronic producer, Parra for Cuva has announced his plans to return to London next year, following a sold-out event scheduled to take place at live music venue, Scala, later this month.

Making the trip over to the big smoke once again in May 2022, the Berlin-based artist, who's become renowned for his ethereal and Bonobo-esque electronic creations, will takeover over the airwaves and set the mood at one of London's most-frequented nightspots, KOKO London.  

Expect to hear some of the rising DJs biggest tracks to date -  from 'Paspatou' to his stunning reworking of Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game' - live and in a truly remarkable setting next spring.

Rhythms Sans Frontieres Festival 2022

When: Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd July 2022

Where: Euston Park in Thetford

A festival actively advocating for positive societal change whilst celebrating cultural diversity, featuring an eclectic lineup of established names spanning a range of genres - from indie, latin, hip hop and jazz-fusion to Indian bhangra, reggae and afro-beat - 2022's Rhythms Sans Frontieres promises much more than your average, run of the mill music event.

Taking place in Thetford next summer, the brand new festival is one that comes with its own bold and meaningful mission statement. Planning to use its various platforms to drive social change and bring awareness to a number of pressing issues - from climate change to breaches of human rights and global humanitarian crisis - the event aims to generate funds to assist non-government organisations such as Amnesty International and Medecines Sans Frontières, in delivering aid and assistance to people across the world.

Hiddenbeach present Aba Shanti-i Full Sound System

When: Saturday 5th February 2022

Where: St Mary In The Castle in Hastings

Unifier of the people, DJ extraordinaire and all-around champion of roots music, Aba Shanti-i will deliver nothing but good vibrations when he arrives in Hastings this coming February.

Brought to the UK by the dub loving team at HiddenBeach, the sound system legend, voted the best DJ in the world back in 1993 by DJ Magazine, has been providing audiences around the world with live dub music for the past three decades and is widely considered one of the best and most important names in the scene.

Set to wobble the foundations of one of the coastal town's most striking and prestigious music venues, St Marys in the Castle, ticket holders should expect to hear nothing but the finest cuts in heavyweight dub courtesy of a bonafide master of bass. A must-attend event for the sound system fans out there.

La Discothèque 5th Birthday

Where: Albert Hall in Manchester

Marking a significant milestone this December, trusted curators of all things disco and renowned party throwers, La Discotheque will lead revellers on a journey deep into the disco abyss in celebration of their fifth birthday.

Given the keys to Manchester's Albert Hall for one night, those who come by tickets for what is set to be a sell-out event will be greeted by confetti cannons, an excess of glitter, dreamy disco balls and a gaggle of flamingos and queens, of course. 

Featured on the eye-popping lineup of the forthcoming event, are distinguished DJ names and collectives the likes of Maribou StateColleen 'Cosmo' MurphyPBR Streetgang and Disco Classical, who will be accompanied on stage by an arrangement of orchestral musicians.

Considering attending this glitzy shindig? Expect to find a disco rave in the lower levels of the venue, as La Piscotheque returns to the lavatories, hosted by Club Clam ft The Niallist, in addition to a dedicated and very special honouring of disco legend, Gloria Gaynor.

Eskimo Dance Halloween - Bristol

Where: O2 Academy Bristol in Bristol

Iconic event brand, Eskimo Dance has announced a frighteningly impressive bill for their first All Hallows Eve party in over two years, packed full of some of the biggest names and selectors in the grime scene.   

Returning to Bristol's O2 Academy on the eve of the spookiest holiday of the year, the five-hour experience - running from 11 pm until 4 am the following morning - will see heavy-hitters the likes of JME, Frisco, Shorty, Capo Lee, Abra Cadabra, Unknown T and DJs Target (BBC Radio 1xtra), Maximum (Boy Better Know), Logan Sama, J Oh Zee and Chloe Sage dropping heaters from the beginning to end.

CIRCUS presents Reinier Zonneveld, Anfisa Letyago, Gina...

Very much the techno talent of the moment, Dutch DJ and producer Ronnie Zonneveld has RSVP'd his invitation to join celebrated dance brand, CIRCUS at Liverpool's Invisible Wind Factory this December.

The prominent mixmaster and head honcho of record label, 'Filth on Acid', whose unique talents both behind the decks and in the studio have garnered support from titans of the scene the likes of Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin, will deliver an explosive evening of energetic techno to dance fans in the north with the help of fellow rave experts, Anfisa Letyago and Gina.

Kubix Festival 2022


When: Saturday 9th July 2022

Where: Herrington Country Park in Sunderland

Following this year's sold-out instalment, Kubix Festival has announced it will return to Sunderland in 2022, promising a huge pop music party the likes of which has never been seen!

Taking over the expansive and beautiful green grounds of Herrington Country Park for one day next summer, the outdoor event is set to welcome thousands of eager music fans to dance and sing along to live performances from some of their favourite pop idols.

Amongst the first names to be announced, Aqua and '90s favourites, Vengaboys will get the party started with a setlist jam-packed with memorable tracks - from 'Barbie Girl' to 'Doctor Jones', 'Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!' and 'We Like To Party'.
