WHP22 - Hot Chip

When: Friday 3rd - Saturday 4th February 2023

Where: Depot (Mayfield) in Manchester

London-based synth-pop quintet, Hot Chip have announced plans to curate a very special night of live music at Manchester's gigantic Depot Mayfield warehouse, in partnership with seasonal clubbing brand, The Warehouse Project, in February.

Topping the bill, frontman Alexis Taylor along with bandmates Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin will perform some of Hot Chip's biggest off-kilter anthems, including noughties classics 'Over and Over' and 'Ready For The Floor', in front of thousands of electronic music fans. 

Selecting their own bill of support acts, the Grammy-nominated group have asked Norwegian DJ Todd Terje and Peruvian producer Sofia Kourtesis to showcase their talents across the evening, as well as rising stars Yune Pinku, Mona Yim and Tarza.

Highest Point Festival presents Hacienda Classical

When: Thursday 11th May 2023

Where: Williamson Park in Lancaster

Following an unforgettable appearance on the grounds of Lancaster's Williamson Park back in 2016, the team behind the city's largest outdoor music event, Highest Point have announced that the Hacienda Classical will return in 2023, to launch the fifth edition of the annual summer soiree. 

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, Hacienda Classical sees a fifty-strong orchestra reworking your favourite, iconic club tracks from the heyday of Manchester's 90s dance scene into grand classical arrangements, giving records an altogether new sound and feel. Regular guest appearances come from legendary DJ names the likes of K-Klass, Graeme Park and Greg Wilson, helping to capture the magic of the famous Acid House era.

Hannah Laing North Headline Tour 2023

When: February - March 2023 (Multiple dates)

Where: Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle...

'Dundee's Queen of house', Hannah Laing has revealed the dates of her first-ever headline tour, the 'North Headline Tour', taking place throughout the early part of the coming New Year. 

The gifted producer, celebrated globally for her mastered edits and bootlegs, has conquered huge audiences at mammoth events during the summer this year - from Creamfields to TRNSMT Festival and more. She's also been seen commanding dance floor's in superclubs over on Isla Blanca, gaining praise from her more established contemporaries, the likes of Jaguar, Solardo and Cloonee

A talent we're keeping a very keen eye on here at Skiddle. Expect big things from Hannah Laing in 2023.

JBM presents Jeff Mills + Cleric

When: Saturday 1st April 2023

Where: New Century in Manchester

'The Wizard' (no, not those gnarly dudes who sang about it being Christmas every day), Jeff Mills is set to mesmerise audiences present at Manchester's recently refurbed New Century music venue in April 2023, with his mastered turntable sorcery.

The Detroit-born techno visionary, possibly the biggest name in the modern-day scene, is renowned for his stripped-back, no-nonsense industrial hardcore sets. With a natural ability behind the decks and a penchant for reading a room, he's garnered a reputation very few others have and will ever manage to achieve. 

From founding Underground Resistance, the label responsible for birthing trailblazers such as Robert Hood, Rolando and Drexciya, to releasing on the famous Berlin techno imprint, Tresor, Mills' accomplishments are numerous. 

Make sure to catch the living legend doing what he does best in 2023.

Teletech Glasgow 2023

When: Friday 17th February 2023

Where: SWG3 in Glasgow

Leading UK Techno event series, Teletech has announced plans to make its debut at Glasgow's famed clubbing destination, SWG3 next year, bringing along some very special guests for the ride.

Promising a night of unrelenting techno to blow away all expectations, the lineup of the highly anticipated event will feature an exciting mixture of techno DJs, all of whom have something different to offer. From Alignment and CLTX to Amrtum and Sara Landry, these are without a doubt some of the techno world's biggest and best names. A hallmark of what has made Teletech so successful thus far.

FAC51 The Hacienda Open-Air

When: Sunday 30th April 2023

Where: City One in Leeds

Famed Manchester clubbing brand, FAC 51 The Haçienda makes its long overdue return to Leeds in the spring of 2023, taking over City One for a special open-air party on Sunday 30th April.

Bringing a horde of well-known DJ names with them to the Yorkshire capital, attendees can expect to see exemplary sets from respected producers such as Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Dimitri From Paris and Derrick Carter, alongside British counterparts Greg Wilson, DJ Paulette and Hacienda legend, DJ Graeme Park. 

Join the Fac 51 team for a monumental 10-hour live music experience, and celebrate the coming together of two northern dance communities once more in 2023.

Judge Jules Goes Large in Bristol

When: Friday 31st March 2023

Where: Motion in Bristol

Paying homage to one of the best British comedies of the past 30 years, 90s DJ legend Judge Jules 'Goes Large' in Bristol in the spring of 2023. 

Having single-handedly scored the entirety of Kevin and Perry Go Large and written 'All I Wanna Do Is Do It' with actor Harry Enfield, Jules is by right the only DJ authorised to host such a night. Delivering his own interpretation of the film's top-drawer soundtrack, packed with classics such as Y-Traxx's 'Mystery Land' and Signum's 'Coming On Strong', the revered producer will spin a mixed bag of timeless anthems from the golden era of trance. A true representation of Judge Jules at his very best, giving a nod to one of the most memorable films representing club culture.

Retro In The Park Festival 2023

When: Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th May 2023

Where: Towneley Park Burnley in Burnley 

Retro Events and JBM Music join forces once more in the summer of 2023, bringing another two-day festival to Burnley's Towneley Park - Retro In The Park.

Combining some of the biggest live electronic acts and DJs of yesteryear to produce one of the biggest nostalgic dance events in the northern hemisphere, the weekend-long event will see names such as Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Judge Jules, K-Klass, N Trance, Rozalla, Phats & Small, Jon Pleased Wimmin and many more commanding the thousands of rave revelling festival-goers in attendance.  

With 4 different arenas of music on offer, there's something to please all tastes. An unmissable summer spectacular for dance fans in the Northwest of England.

Solardo presents Higher

When: Saturday 28th - Sunday 29th January 2023

Where: Depot (Mayfield) in Manchester

Mancunian dance duo, Solardo have teamed up with The Warehouse Project to bring their 'Higher' event series to the Depot Mayfield warehouse in January 2023.

Regularly featuring on lineups throughout The Warehouse Project's annual autumn/winter season, the coming event marks the first time the pair will host their own event at the colossal rave space, supplying fans with a special one-off homecoming performance. One thing's for sure though, with an arsenal of club weapons in their bag the likes of 'Move Your Body' and 'Make Me Feel, it's going to be an event that will surely go down in the venue's already notable history.
