What a weekend! With four days off, we went through it all - parties, hangovers, wholesome moments, and more.

But now we’re back in the routine, you might be pining for something to lift your spirits. Something to look forward to. Luckily, New On Skiddle is back with another incredible selection of events that are already on sale (or will be very soon!) to put some pep back in your step.

This week we’ve got Paul van Dyk’s Ibiza residency at Eden, hardcore party starters Ravers Reunited with Raveland, Gorgon City with their Enter The Realm show, Sam Divine tearing it up over a bank holiday weekend, Elation and Control bringing a hard dance rave with CLTX, a new soul, funk, and disco festival, a huge dance festival in Aberdeen, and more.

Lancaster Rocks

When: Sunday 12th May 2024

Where: Williamson Park in Lancaster

After Highest Point Festival and The Big Family Day Out have wrapped things up this year, to close it all with a bang, they’re bringing some of the best tribute bands to the same site for one final boogie in Lancaster with the Highest Point family.

With three of the best tribute acts in the UK - Definitely Oasis, Foo Fighters GB, and Supersonic Queen - to some of the biggest bands in rock, it’ll surely be an incredible way to close a weekend of pure thrills.

Expect pure energy and timeless rock anthems for an absolute bargain.

Ravers Reunited presents Raveland

When: Saturday 6th July 2024

Where: Zumhof Biergarten (Formerly AIR) in Birmingham

One of the UK’s leading hardcore events brands returns with a massive hardcore show at Birmingham superclub AIR.

Spread across two arenas and an outdoor stage, the huge events brand brings some of the best-loved names in the genre including Darren Styles, Klubfiller, Scott Brown, Dougal, Al Storm, Ben X-Treme, Outforce, Jason Brown B2B Scoot B2B Lloyde B2B JGS ft. Korkie (with an exclusive MOTNS relaunch set), and many more.

This event will be Darren Styles’ first show at the club in over 12 years, and, to celebrate, he’ll be playing a classics set.

XOYO Presents : Divine By Day w/ Sam Divine

Where: XOYO Birmingham in Birmingham

If you’re in Birmingham and are still looking for Early May bank holiday plans, look no further.

Sam Divine, Queen of Defected Records, comes to XOYO on the Saturday from 4pm until 12am, giving you the perfect opportunity to get out and groove to house tunes before heading to an afters or being well-behaved and getting a relatively early night.

Playing in the roof garden, you’ll be able to enjoy the freshest and most addictive house music from Sam and local support artists as the sun sets on the city.

Where: The Liquid Room in Edinburgh

Another Early May bank holiday bash, this time in Edinburgh, Elation and Control brings a hard dance and techno lineup to one of the best clubs in Edinburgh.

Emerging from Paris’ underground, CLTX joins the lineup with his raw energy and pure electricity in his sets. There’ll also be Sgig and Calzed & Lynchy, who’ll be making their Edinburgh debut, to complete a lineup composed of full-throttle, unrelenting energy.

Paul van Dyk Shine Ibiza residency

When: multiple dates from Thursday 4th July - Thursday 26th September 2024

Where: Eden in Sant Antoni

Trance legend Paul van Dyk has announced a residency at one of the best clubs in Ibiza this summer.

Bringing special guests Aly & Fila, Shugz, Bryan Kearney, Ferry Corsten, and more, the music at these events will cover the trance spectrum including progressive, deep, emotive, euphoric, and beyond.

Going hard this year to celebrate Shine’s fifth anniversary, there’ll be two different closing parties. On Thursday the 19th of September, AKA closing party part one, will see van Dyk play an all-night-long set, and closing party part two, Thursday 26th of September, will also be VANDIT Records 25th Anniversary with Paul van Dyk & Friends.

Gorgon City Presents Enter The REALM Liverpool

When: Sunday 5th May 2024

Where: Blackstone Street Warehouse in Liverpool

Modern dance titans Gorgon City come to one of the best clubs in Liverpool, the huge Blackstone Street Warehouse.

The ‘Ready For Your Love’ producers bring their new event series Enter The Realm with support from Bristol’s Eats Everything, Reading’s SG Lewis, Ukraine’s Korolova, Nottingham’s Matt Guy, and lockdown-born DJ and producer Riordan.

Boogie By The Sea Festival

When: Friday 26th July 2024

Where: The Oval (Hastings) in Hastings

Bringing the golden era of disco, funk, and soul to Hastings this summer, Boogie By The Sea boasts a lineup of acclaimed names from those scenes who’ll bring their timeless hits to music fans.

‘When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going’ singer Billy Ocean headlines the event, joined by hit-makers Sister Sledge, Soul II Soul - the artist behind that addictive tune “back to life, back to reality”, Boney M, and Soul Boutique Collective.

Celebrating the various flavours of the genres, Boogie By The Sea promises musical magic spanning the funky basslines and soulful melodies that shaped generations.

The Ark - Summer Ball

When: Friday 21st June 2024

Where: Radisson Red in Glasgow

The Ark, now at its new home of Radisson Red, brings Glaswegians their first-ever summer ball this June.

The Friday event at the heart of The Tunnel’s glory days - the club that shaped Scotland’s clubbing culture - returns only this time, in the glass box in the skies of Glasgow. Expect 90s night-out vibes in the multi-award-winning RED Sky Bar.

Simon Foy, long-term resident Scott Mackay, and Duncan Reid provide the soundtrack for this one, which will be disco house and house tunes including classic Tunnel anthems.

As with most events at the Radisson Red, if you want to make your visit even more special, you can opt for the room & party package to enjoy welcome drinks, a room, and full Scottish breakfasts.

Cultivate Festival

When: Saturday 21st - Sunday 22nd September 2024

Where: Secret Venue in Aberdeen

Aberdeen’s Cultivate Festival returns this year for another edition of belting house, techno, UKG, and more.

As the northeast’s biggest electronic festival, Cultivate is spread across two days and welcomes incredible international artists from across the world to tear it up in front of thousands of music fans.

We’re still waiting for a 2024 lineup announcement but last year they brought Ben Hemsley, blk., D.O.D, Girls Don't Sync, Sara Landry, KIMMIC, VXYX, and more, including emerging artists, to the people. With this in mind, we’re certain this year’s lineup will be equally brilliant. It always is.

The Godfather of EDM is coming to Cardiff for a massive show on the August bank holiday weekend.

Tiesto, with well over 53 million monthly Spotify listeners, three Grammys to his name, and who has been named the greatest DJ of all time by Mixmag and Rolling Stone, is one of the biggest dance artists in the world.

Currently number 41 on Spotify’s most listened-to artists in the world, and with years of experience, the ‘The Business’ producer is certain to have Cardiff on its feet all night long.
