Boardmasters 2013 have recently announced the full line-ups for two of their stages, Unleashed and Marley Point, which showcases the full throttle dance action at the festival to accompany the live presence of the likes of Basement Jaxx and the Vaccines.
New stage Unleashed will be the centre point for a full on arsenal of rave, headlined by dubstep pioneer Benga. Whilst partner in crime Skream is earning headlines for leaving behind bass music, Benga couldn’t be any further entrenched in the deeper recesses of the sub-woofer, and heads up the stage which will focus on the rowdier side of dance music.
His latest album ‘Chapter II’ was released last month to fervent excitement, whilst he is planning further releases via Magnetic Man and also producing for Katy B. Add to that badman producer Redlight, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra presenter MistaJam, electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco and iconic hip-hop DJ Grandmaster Flash, as well as a sea of others.
The House of Marley stage returns this year with the same formula of relaxing beats in the daytime and then fist pumping electronica in the evening. House duo Dusky headline, heralded in the same breath as Disclosure and Duke Dumont has torchbearers for the new wave of modern house music.
They’ll be joined by baby faced Lancaster teen brothers Bondax, Rinse FM’s T. Williams and UK garage pioneer MJ Cole, and many more.
