Many festival's claim to be eclectic, creative and exciting, but few manage it quite as well as Secret Garden Party.

Taking place in the heart of Cambridgeshire on July 25th - 28th, amidst a stunning landscaped garden, a river and a lake, Secret garden Party plays as a hidden away slice of natural beauty, far away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life.

The festival is overflowing with creativity, crazy ideas are given the space to live and breath, injecting the festival with a life and vivacity that is oft amiss in festivals nowadays.

Boasting a comprehensive line up of attractions for kids and adults alike, expect a full on party experience including art tents, parades, walkabout theatre & theatre workshops, big wheel rides, boat rides, swimming, treasure hunts, a festival-wide train service, open mic stages and of course, participatory games of all descriptions.

The festival of a beautiful lake, and features a large main stage area, 'The Great Stage' and then smaller tent venues dotted around. The music policy on the main stage side is generally more dance, with the other side showcasing a more acoustic and chilled out atmosphere.

The Secret Garden party line up is looking particularly sweet too, with the likes of 2manyDJs (live), Eats Everything, Bastille, Django Django, Evil Nine, Justin Robertson, London Grammar, Pete Herbert, Public Service Broadcasting, Regina Spektor, Rodigan, Goldie and Faithless (live PA & DJ) all getting in on the action. Maintaining a truly eclectic program of audible delights has become Secret garden party’s calling card and this years sees them once again supply the goods in convincing fashion.

Restaurants, cocktail bars, ale tents, and barefoot discos are some of the other regular features, and 2013’s edition has added and improved on the much loved quirkiness, resulting in one seriously tantalising weekend of natural beauty.

Think Glastonbury without the epic distances to walk, or maybe a John Constable painting with a rave tent. Either way, its pretty unique, and with so much to see and do, Secret Garden Party is without a doubt one of our festival highlights.
