London jazz club Ronnie Scott’s free street party returns this weekned

A London jazz club has confirmed the return of its annual free street party. Soho venue Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club has partnered with Music Venue Trust and Save Our Scene to transform the surrounding street into an open-air party this Saturday, 1st August, free of charge.

Beginning in 2019 in celebration of the venue’s sixtieth birthday in what was purported to be a one-off event, the free street party brought 5000 attendees in its inaugural edition, and has since become a yearly occurrence due to popular demand. Boasting two stages - a North Stage and a South Stage - the 2026 lineup features Blue Lab Beats, Daniel Casimir, Shae Universe, and Ronnie Scott’s Gospel Choir and more serenading Frith Street this Saturday. With the partnership of both Music Venue Trust and Save Our Scene, this year’s street party strives to celebrate grassroots music venues for one day in Soho.

The jazz club first opened in 1959 by musicians Ronnie Scott and Pete King, and moved to its current address 47 Frith Street in 1965. The pair ran the venue together until Scott’s death in 1996, with King selling the club to its current owners, theatre impresario Sally Greene and philanthropist Michael Watt, in the summer of 2005. 

Ronnie Scott’s Street Party runs from 11:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday 1st August 2026.
