Ronan Keating, Blue and Simply Red to Headline at Colchester Castle Summer Series 2027

The first headline acts for Colchester Castle's 2027 Summer Series have been announced, and tickets go on sale this week. Simply Red will grace the historic site on 18th August 2027, followed by Ronan Keating and Blue on 21st August.

Returning for its third year in 2027, Castle Park has hosted huge acts, from Smashing Pumpkins, UB40 and Madness in 2025, to Bastille, Billy Ocean and Fatboy Slim this year; next year's lineup is set to be massive. In an announcement on Instagram, the first headliners of the 2027 series have been announced - and they're big.

Simply Red will be joined by special guests, Heather Small and Soul II Soul on 18th August, for a huge open-air show. The multi-award-winning Manchester pop-soul icons are set to revive their late 80s and 90s classics, performing some of their most upbeat tunes on their Summer Funk '27 tour. Following, on the 21st August, two of the biggest names in pop come together at Colchester Castle Park. Ronan Keating will bring more than three decades of hits from his hugely successful solo career as well as his roots with Boyzone. With hits including Life Is A Rollercoaster, When You Say Nothing At All, Lovin’ Each Day and If Tomorrow Never Comes, Keating is set to bring back the 90s and noughties. Sharing the headline bill are Blue, performing favourites including All Rise, One Love, Fly By and If You Come Back. Supporting these giants, Germein offer their signature harmonies and uplifting pop sound to the historic site.
