Wow, what a week it’s been! We’ve got news of a new Streets album, a massive new venue in London, and, best of all, we’ve got another New On Skiddle to sink your teeth into.

We know you’re probably hungover, tired, and missing the weekend. We respect that. So we’ll just dive right into what’s new.

We’ve got London’s Locus coming up to Manchester for its debut, a reggae carnival, Teletech's wildest rave to date, Marco Carola with loads of other boss names at The Asylum, Jezza & Jod, MC Bassman's Halloween Ball, a cracking family festival and more.

Have a look below, cure the Monday blues with some retail therapy, and count down the days to the next event that’ll have you beaming from ear to ear.

Birmingham Reggae Carnival

reggae-carnival

When: Saturday 23rd September 2023

Where: The Mill in Birmingham

Reggae and summer is a match made in heaven. And those at The Mill clearly know this, so they’re blessing us with the reggae summer party we deserve!

Coming in with a lineup featuring the best of the best, there’s The Marley Revival, General Levy, The Dualers, and Aswad. And there are still more to be announced!

As an all-dayer running from midday to 11 pm, you'll need some fuel. So of course there’ll be award-winning Caribbean street food on site to keep you going. Soak up some rays in the outdoor seating area before heading back in to enjoy the irresistible riddims.

Where: The Progress Centre in Manchester

Locus is a London-based record label from the team behind FUSE with the ethos "by the ravers, for the ravers." This August Locus brings a house, tech house, and minimal party to one of Manchester’s best clubs

Progress Centre is one of Manchester's newest venues. Open-air but covered and boasting a custom Funktion One Soundsystem and matrix lighting installation, parties here are simply mind-blowing. And this one will be no different.

Locus arrives for its highly anticipated Manc debut, bringing Rich NXT, Dungeon Meat, Locklead, Casey Spillman b2b Pach, and OBP. If you’re a proper partier with incredible stamina, you can find afterparty tickets here. But for now, secure your place at the day party below.

Where: HEMKADE 48 in Zaandam

Teletech, once a humble little brand from Fallowfield, has blown up. And for bloody good reason. Known for booking the best acts and attracting some of the wildest but most positive and friendly crowds, there’s no party like a Teletech party.

Bringing huge names including Azyr, Hannah Laing, Basswell, Funk Tribu, Shlomo, and more to the Dutch capital this October, you know this one will be next level. And the Dutch seriously know how to rave.

Don’t forget to pack your Pro Plus because this one kicks off at 8 pm and will take you all the way to 6 am.

DYSFUNCTIONAL V: Complex Takeover

dysfunctional-v

When: Saturday 14th October 2023

Where: SWG3 in Glasgow

Over 30 DJs from the heavier side of electronic music - techno, hardstyle, and hard trance - will treat Glasgow's hardcore ravers to nine hours of pure chaos this October.

An insanely stacked lineup, for this one, there's Nico Moreno, Basswell, Dominique, TLO, Riot Code, Alignment, F I I S H I R, and more. Seeing as Dysfunctional sold out its last three events, and considering the European and Scottish techno royalty on the lineup, tickets for this one are, unsurprisingly, selling fast.

If you can handle nine hours of madness, secure your tickets below, dig out your best all black outfit, and strap in!

LeeStock Music Festival

leestock

When: Saturday 25th - Sunday 26th May 2024

Where: Kentwell Hall in Sudbury

LeeStock '23 wrapped up in May following performances from Black Grape, Natalie Imbruglia, T'Pau, The Supernaturals, and more, and it’s coming back next year!

A lovely family-friendly festival, there’s always lots of fun for littluns to get stuck into like face painting, reading, storytelling, colouring, and a sandpit to play in. And for the adults, the fest is renowned for putting some of the best British 90s acts on its lineup. And of course, there’s the bar and food stalls that use the finest, locally produced ingredients.

The proceeds of LeeStock go to Willow Foundation, a charity that works with seriously ill people to give them unforgettable days out. The fest has already raised over £100,000 for them!
