Example Joins Kendal Calling Line Up

Kendal Calling ramps up the anticipation for this year’s installment with the addition of British pop and rap icon Example and American rockers Augustines.

Having already announced the likes of Suede, Frank Turner, De La Soul, Happy Mondays and Tom Odell as this year’s impressive headliners, Kendal Calling have now revealed that Brit Award nominee Example would round off its line up of big hitters arriving at Lowther Deer Park on August 1st - 3rd.

Having received recognition from the likes of Zane Lowe and Pete Tong right from the beginning of his music career, Elliot Gleave, AKA Example’s career has risen exponentially over the past five years, reaching widespread recognition and abundant commercial success with his and Sub Focus' 'Kickstarts'.

His subsequent albums Won’t Go Quietly, Playing In The Shadows and The Evolution of Man have gone on to storm the UK albums charts, gaining a significant plaudits from critics and fans alike. Big hitting singles like 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' and 'Say Nothing' further cemented his importance in the mainstream, as his brand of rap, grime, electro and pop continued to set the music industry alight.

Called in to play at some of the UK’s most iconic festivals like GlobalGathering and Glastonbury, Example's strength as a live performer is in no doubt, drawing in thousands of fans with his high octane, vibrant sets crammed with catchy hooks and taut electronic beats.

With his fifth long player Live Life Living due to drop at the end of June (above), this will be a wicked chance to see the Fulham born wordsmith performing eagerly awaited brand new material as well as some of his back catalogue of riproaring crowd pleasers.
