Jamie XX @ Gorilla, Manchester

After already hosting Mercury Prize winners The XX in the past, Now Wave turn their attention to the band’s main man - Jamie XX. Since joining the XX in 2007, Jamie XX’s career has gained considerable momentum, both as a producer and a remixer. His signature sound which moves between indie pop, electronic, garage and experimental dubstep has gained him a wealth of fans and has lead to remix work for everyone from Radiohead to Florence and the Machine, and Gil Scott Heron to Four Tet.

He will be joined by the irrepressible Illum Sphere - another producer that has been turning heads with a unique approach to electronic music, taking cues from right across the spectrum to create his own take on dance music.
