Great night at jungle cakes with a good crew and mates definatly worth a night out

They NEED to open the doors at 10pm not 11pm
Just got in with 6 mins spare to do new year countdown ! Freezing in the q line for 45mins very badly organised ( the getting in bit)

Hi,
While the event itself was enjoyable, the management was extremely poor.

Firstly, opening at 11pm with such a huge crowd was completely unacceptable. People were still waiting outside at midnight â this is hugely unfair on New Yearâs. They should have opened earlier to manage the queues properly. 

On top of that, the female bouncer (lovely lady) was left alone to handle the overflowing line while the other male bouncers were chatting, which was both unfair and a serious safety concern.

Secondly, the toilets were filthy from the very start, which clearly shows they had not been cleaned beforehand â completely unacceptable for an event of this size.

Finally, there was no clear route to the cloakroom. There should have been signage indicating where coats were being accepted; instead, we were forced to carry ours around because nothing was marked.

Overall, these oversights made the event unnecessarily stressful and disappointing, and I hope these issues are addressed for future events.

Dj was very disjointed. Nothing flowed. it was supposed to be club music, but he would flit from one genre to another, which was confusing. We weren't the only ones who thought it, and quite a few, including us, left early.

Review of The Black Charade & Fell Out Boy Live At Sub 89, Reading

The bands were all amazing. 
Drinks were on the pricy side but probably inline with most clubs. 

The volume was too loud to the point where the singers voice was clipping. My watch went off a few times saying it was over 105BD. 

Rock music is best loud but I'd rather not want my ears ringing for the rest of the following day!

SUB89 is Reading&#8217;s best underground club and live music venue. Opening in October 2009 with a live show from Chase and Status, the venue has gone from strength to strength covering all aspects of live music, comedy and clubnights.

The venue is able to accommodate a wide range of international touring acts as well as striving to support the fantastic local music scene that Reading has to offer.
